Background
Actual Work entered into My Tasks in PWA changing unexpectedly when entering administrative time into a timesheet after applying KB950816 in a Project Server 2007 SP1.
Resolution This issue has been verified as a bug caused by using custom administrative time categories. The issue will be fixed in a later hotfix or service pack. A workaround follows:
1. Go to Server Settings > Timesheet settings and defaults > in default timesheet creation mode section select current task assignments. In the timesheet for this period, make note of the administrative time that is currently entered and delete the timesheet. 2. Recreate the timesheet for this period. 3. In the timesheet you now see you current tasks as well as administrative time. 4. Enter your time for the tasks and the administrative time for the week. Save and submit the timesheet 5. Navigate to My tasks. 6. Click Actions > Import Timesheet > select the timesheet and click Import. 7. Once the import is complete the tasks are updated with the proper times and you can submit the time for approval with no issues.
