Resolution for Project Server 2002 and 2003

Complete the following steps to change a resource from Inactive to Active:

1.  Log into Project Web Access with administrator permissions.

2.  Click Admin - Manage users and groups.

3.  Click the pick list and select the user from the list.

4.  Click the Modify User button.

5.  Set the Account Status value to Active.

6.  Click the Save Changes button.

Note: The above process works around the “invalid node name parameter” error message you may receive if you attempt to activate an inactive resource using the Enterprise Resource Pool in Microsoft Project Professional.

Resolution for Project Server 2007

Complete the following steps to change a resource from Inactive to Active:

1.  Log into Project Web Access with administrator permissions.

2.  Click Server Settings - Manage Users.

3.  In the list of users, click the name of the inactive resource to open the resource for editing.

4.  Click the Account Status pick list and select the Active value.

6.  Click the Save button.
