Background

In Project Server 2003, Microsoft used the terms Availability and Remaining Availability, where Remaining Availability = Availability - Work. Microsoft changed the terms and their meaning in Project Server 2007 and 2010.

Resolution

In Project Server 2007 and 2010, Microsoft uses the terms Capacity and Availability, where Availability = Capacity - Work. The corresponding terms are as follows:               

 Project Server 2003  Project Server 2007 and 2010
 Availability  Capacity
